The Benefits of a Juice Cleanse

Who Should & Shouldn’t Cleanse

As Jill explains, “I think anyone can benefit in some way by resting their digestive system and detoxifying.” Juice cleansing helps with all sort of conditions including digestive problems, sluggishness, PMS, and allergies, and are also just good for when you’ve overindulged.
If you are pregnant or breast feeding, diabetic, or have other conditions that would make not eating hazardous then you shouldn’t do a juice cleanse. Regardless of your physical condition, speak to a physician before starting any fasting program.

The Cost of Cleansing
Most professionally-designed juice cleansing programs have a $65 to $85 a day price tag that a lot of people dismiss as way out of their budget. But consider how much you spend on eating out, buying drinks, buying groceries, coffee, and snacks.  Taking 3-5 days to drink nothing but organic, detoxifying juices, buffeted by several days of eating mostly fruits and vegetables means your entire food and drink budget for that time is devoted to your cleanse.

Track your eating and drinking habits for a week and see how much extra a cleanse service will actually cost you. It just might not be so outlandish after all- especially if you factor in the giant convenience factor.

Keeping It Homebound
If you have the time and patience to p repare your juices properly then it is possible to cleanse on your own. Jill recommends reading The Juicing Bible by Pat Crocker and Susan Eagles and Clean by Dr. Alejandro Junger to learn more and get recipes. She also offers phone and email consultations.

Juicing on your own does require a juicer! A good quality, compact juicer will run you at least $80.  The key difference between a juicer and a blender is that the juicer extracts the pulp and seeds.  Even after your cleanse long over, you will still enjoy making fresh juice whenever you like!

Juice fasting is not the cheapest activity on the planet, but if planned for, it can be Fab & Fru!  It’s just depends on you. If you like what happens then commit to making a cleanse part of your seasonal regime and your budget!
