The Dress Recycler on Anna Sui

Anna Sui’s vintage inspired prints and colorful fabrics make shopping in her store like stepping in a Rock & Roll Wonderland.  It’s a young woman’s dream to find herself immersed in Anna’s whirlwind of dresses, make-up and perfume.  Her inspirational vintage collection is also available for those who love the older styles that gave Anna some of her inspiration.

Anna’s signature flare extends into her new collection at Target.  However there is a little gimmick to it: she has teamed up the CW and their TV series Gossip Girl, to introduce a Junior clothing line inspired by the characters of the show.

I must say, although any woman with curves or who is taller than 5’3’’may struggle with the small sizes, this collection is fashion forward and adventurous with FABULOUS colors and prints.  Anna has lots of dresses to choose from in a variety of fabrics.  The price point is higher than I expected it would be, but her fashionista style makes up for it.  And even with all of the trim and hardware that she has incorporated into the pieces, her line is still machine washable.  THAT’S TWO THUMBS UP FOR ME!

Hounds tooth Jacquard Dress:  Great body and adorable detailing.  Subtle print and heavy enough to wear for winter and lined.  $69.99

It IS refreshing to see high-end designers making their looks more affordable & available to a wider audience.  However, keep your expectations in check.   Don’t be disappointed when the style and the quality is not quite the same as you may have hoped.  And always remember, a deal is not a deal if you spend money on something that will just sit in your closet!
