Instead Of Reaching For Your Gold Card, Reach For A “GOAL” Card

Write a financial goal on a  homemade card and keep it on top of your credit card inside your wallet.  This will force you have to look at your goal and physically move it in order to get to your actually credit or debit card.  The Goal Card will remind you of your long term savings and spending goals while giving you an extra moment to really think about if you are making a needed purchase or an impulse buy.   The next time you are tempted to charge something you don’t need,  give yourself a little reminder of why not to and keep your eyes focused on your long term goals!
