The host should not get stuck buying tons of alcohol for guests – I still have bottles of barely used whiskey from Thanksgivings past – what a waste! Instead, check out our money saving tip that was featured in this month’s issue of Good Housekeeping Magazine! We suggest just buying apple cider and doctoring it up as needed for all your guests! The kids will drink it cold, and for adults it can be warmed up and served with spices and those who want it can add RUM. If the host provides one tasty specialty drink, leave it up to the guests to bring wine and other bevvies if they want them. Plus, a toasty brewed spiced cider on the stove will make your whole house smell delish and add to the holiday ambiance.
