Afternoon Tea Without The Price Tag

The Tea

Keep your tea selection simple!  I wouldn’t go crazy buying a million different kinds – stick to English Breakfast, one herbal tea of your choice, and one more  perfumey/exotic flavor.

And a Little Bubbly…

At the higher end hotel Teas, they often serve a glass of over priced Champagne.  To add a little bubbly flare to your Fab & Fru tea party, buy a bottle of inexpensive but delicious Prosecco (you can find amazing bottles for under $15) to toast your special afternoon!

Set the Mood

Fill a vase with some fresh flowers, put on some classical music in the background, ask guests to dress up a little bit, and you’ll be transported to English tea time in no time!

Under $50

Instead of spending almost $100 per person, you can serve 4-6 friends a proper English tea in your own backyard-with bubbly- for under $50 bucks TOTAL!  Now, that’s a Fab & Fru birthday (or anytime) celebration!

Your article mentions Pepperidge Farm Very Thin White Bread and I am on a mission to locate a store in San Diego that sells this delicacy. Do you have a known source? Please.
