Last weekend, foodie friends Charly and Kat co-hosted a ten person dinner party for their friend Sam’s 33rd birthday. They set their price limit and planned their menu. Each woman had her shopping list, and the two ladies planned to settle up the funds the day of the party. The deal: they wouldn’t spend more than $65 on food and $65 on beverages. But when Charly went $25 over budget on wine, Kat flipped out and refused to split the difference with her, telling Charly that if she wanted to spend more- that was her right, but Kat had no more money to spend. -However, it did not stop her from enjoying the vino at the party….
Was Charly wrong to expect Kat to chip in a few extra dollars without clearing it with her first? Or, did Kat overreact and come off seeming cheap in the process? Tell us what you think?!| Print
