Pecan Crescent Cookies


  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup of powdered sugar
  • 2 cups unbleached flour
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup chopped pecans


  • Preheat Oven 350 degrees.
  • Cream butter until smooth and fluffy.  Add 1/2 cup powdered sugar and vanilla and cream again.  Fold in flour and mix well.  Mix in pecans.  Shape dough into small crescents and place on cookie sheet
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes until lightly golden.  Let the cookies cool and sprinkle with plenty of powdered sugar.

–Makes about 2 dozen cookies
