From Halloween Rates to Electoral Debates

Presidential Debate

The first of 3 presidential debates was held this week in Denver, and most pundits think it was a victory for Mitt Romney.  Seriously – you know Obama had an off night when Romney can invoke “Big Bird” in a presidential debate and still be declared the winner.

Unemployment Down

Some good news for Obama – who needed it after his lackluster debate performance: unemployment fell to 7.8% – the lowest level in 3 1/2 years.  Despite this positive news, Romney seems to be acting a bit like Oscar the Grouch, claiming that these lower unemployment numbers are not indicative of a real recovery…
