NYC Marathon

In the midst of New York City trying to recover from Sandy’s wrath, many are questioning Mayor Bloomberg’s decision to go forth with the running of this weekend’s NYC marathon.  One of the biggest worries?  That much needed public resources will be diverted from recovery efforts to the race.  The marathon brings in over $300 million to the city’s coffers – at least sponsors of the race have already begun pledging money to Sandy recovery efforts…

Jobs Numbers

The most recent jobs numbers are out and reflect that there are more jobs now that when Obama took office.  In addition, there were more people starting to look for work again in October vs. September – signaling signs of much needed hope among job seekers.  Could this glimmer of hope be just what Obama needs before next Tuesday?

Election Looms

Can you believe it?  The election is only a few days away. And while most of us have already made our decision for presidential candidate, this weekend is the perfect time to brush up on the local ballot proposition in your area – have a say in where your money goes!
