From Re-Election to Marijuana

Obama Wins Re-Election

After seemingly endless months of robo-calls and attack ads, November 6th finally arrived!  As of this writing, Florida is still trying to figure out who won their state, but at least we can be grateful that unlike in 2000, the election results won’t be changed regardless of which way the Sunshine State goes.  Take a look at our article to find out more about how the election will affect your life, family and money.

Fiscal Cliff

The Dow Jones wasn’t in much of a celebratory mood the morning after the election.  The index fell 313 points on Wednesday, in part because of investor anxiety over the looming “fiscal cliff” – the term used to describe what the U.S. government will face at the end of 2012, when the terms of the Budget Control Act of 2011 are scheduled to go into effect.  Congress better make some decisions fast!

The Storm Stricken Northeast
