Impress. Save. Enjoy.
Fab & Fru entertaining is all about the attention to details. Impress your guests this holiday season – while cutting your bar bill significantly – by serving a show stopping signature cocktail. One of our favorite crowd pleasers is Pineapple Infused Vodka. It’s decorative, it’s easy to make (you must prep it three days in advance which helps simplify your day of to do list), and best of all – it’s dangerously delicious!
While there’s no need to splurge on a full bar to throw an elegant event, we do recommend supplementing your beverage offerings with a selection of beer, wine and non-alcoholic options. And when a guest asks if there is something they can bring – ask them to a bring a bottle of their favorite wine or beer to share.
Pineapple Infused Vodka Recipe
- 2 fresh pineapples – cored
- 1 large bottle of the vodka of your choice
- 1 large glass lemonade or ice tea container with dispenser
*Prepare 3 days in advance. *Double recipe for larger crowds
Fill a large glass lemonade or ice tea container with cut rings or pieces of two cored fresh pineapples. –Remove the core of the pineapple, or it will give a bitter flavor to the mixture. Then pour a one quart bottle of the vodka (of your choice- cheap vodka works just fine) over the the pineapple rings. Make sure you have enough vodka to submerge the pineapple in the liquid.
Let the mixture sit for 3 days before serving to get the full flavor and smoothness of the drink. But don’t let it to sit much longer than 3 days either, or the liquid will start to lose it’s smoothness and the pineapple will begin to turn brown - do not drink at this stage.
How to Serve
The cocktail is best served like a martini, shaken with some ice then poured neat into a martini glass. But it’s also delicious served in a chilled tumbler on the rocks. For a fizzy kick, offer your guests a little soda water or seltzer to mix in their drink.
